Pamela (Pam) Jean Fleniken Yoder was entrusted to God’s loving care surrounded by her family in Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She was born October 26, 1945, in Baton Rouge to her parents John William Fleniken and Helen Allbritton Fleniken. Pam and her husband have homes in Bay St. Louis, MS and Baton Rouge, LA and divide their time between the two. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pam is survived by her loving husband, Sidney Davis Yoder; son and daughter-in-law, John Yoder (Katherine Stretch Yoder) of Waveland, MS, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Renee’ Yoder Shannon (Pat Shannon) of Fort Worth, TX, Virginia “Ginger” Yoder Dodd (Layne Dodd) of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Chelsea Shannon Panzarella (Nick Panzarella), Emily Shannon, Sydney Trainor, Graham Trainor, Chandler Dodd and Whtiney Dodd and great grandson, Enzo Panzarella. In addition, her devoted sister and brother-in-law, Pat Fleniken Reed (Billy Reed) and nieces and nephew, Kim Magras (Justin), Niki Hood (Brad) and Brandon Reed. Also, survived by her dear sister-in-law, Janie Yoder Macredie, and nieces, Ally Macredie McCormick (Chris) and Erin Macredie Hartman (Michael). Her uncle, H.F. Allbritton (Barbara) and a host of wonderful cousins. Pam attended Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas, University of Houston and Louisiana State University. She worked for the State of Louisiana for several years. Pam and her husband, Sid, are the owners of Deerworks of Talevera, and their art is shown in galleries in the Mississippi bay area. Together, they traveled the world visiting historic sites in as many countries as possible. She shared her love of history by including her family on many of her trips. Pam was a member of the Baton Rouge Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and past Regent of Heirome Gaines Chapter. She was a longtime member of the Monday Morning Book Club which her grandmother started in the 1940’s. Pam and her husband are active members of the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club. Memorial gifts will honor Pam’s life and memory: American Heart Association. A visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., service beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd. A reception will be held at her sister’s home afterwards.
