Patricia Meehl Spencer

Patricia Meehl Spencer passed away on March 11, 2016 at age 79. She died peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She was born January 8, 1937 in Baton Rouge, LA. She retired from Ethel Corporation after many years of loyal service. Since retirement, she and her loving husband, Captain Robert W. Spencer, U.S. Navy (Ret) enjoyed their beautiful home on the Styx River in Seminole, AL. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mother and father, William J. Meehl and Charlotte Lewis Meehl Lanning, her stepfather, Harold Lanning and grandsons, Jason Avery and Luke Spencer, preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters, Kim Avery Henderson, Donna Avery Flynn, and Angela Avery Whitehead, one son, Glynn Aubyn Avery, Jr., stepchildren, Stacy Spencer Rowbal, Robert Webb Spencer, Jr., Steven Ledet Spencer, Kathy Lynn Spencer, and Karen Spencer Osborne, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday March 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA.
