She was born in Charlotte, NC and moved to Baton Rouge in 1977 and was a lifelong devoted Catholic, attended St. Jean Vianney elementary school, survived a brain tumor, graduated from St. Michael High School, received the Horatio Alger Award, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She was very active in Northwestern University Student Catholic organization.
She belonged to the Girl Scouts of America for ten years. As a Girl Scout she camped each summer where she learned to appreciate nature. She went on a National Girl Scout wagon train trip to learn more history and how to live with and protect the environment. She loved and was loved by pets and animals.
She is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, where she volunteered for church and community activities. She also was a past member of the St. Patrick Life Givers Group who visited other churches and communities to sing and entertain to spread the love of Christ. She went on two national trips to spread the word and love of God.
She worked 14 years for Coastal Environments protecting archeology artifacts at construction sites. Then she became disabled by neurofibromatosis.
Patricia is survived mother, Joan Dugas Tilley, father, Lowell Tilley, brothers Steven and Michael Tilley
She is proceeded in death by a brother Richard Tilley, Grandparents, David and Mary Dugas, and J. Dempsey and Bessie Tilley.
Friends and relatives are invited to the visitation July 2, Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, and visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln, Baton Rouge, 1:00 – 2:00 pm followed by a memorial mass conducted by Fr. Tom Ranzino. Interment will follow at St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum, 7808 St. George Dr., Baton Rouge.
