

Paul Edward Dykes, a native of McComb, MS, and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died on November 23, 2017, at his residence from complications from COPD. Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dykes was born November 3, 1942, in McComb, MS, to Fleet E. Dykes, Jr., and Fay Barron Dykes. He was a graduate of McComb High School and Southwest Mississippi Junior College and was retired from the US Postal Service. He was a loving husband and a good brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him as well as his unique sense of humor.
Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Laurie Fay Lee; a nephew, Warren Bradley Dykes; and two brothers-in-law; Sidney G. Lasyone and Russell E. Lasyone.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Lasyone Dykes; one sister, Linda Dykes Lee of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Joseph L. Dykes and wife, Robin, of Metairie, LA, and John A. Dykes and wife, Jo, of Pine Grove, LA; a brother-in-law, Ronald D. Lasyone and his wife, Lolita; and nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, Mr. Dykes will be interred at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1pm. Please make any donations to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
