

On October 13, 2023, the world lost Paul Joseph Judge, 84, a remarkable man who left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Born on May 31, 1939, in Church Point, Louisiana, his vibrant spirit and enduring optimism were hallmarks of his character.
Paul's achievements were vast and varied. A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, his career and military service took him around the globe. This worldly exposure, combined with his innate curiosity, shaped many of his perspectives and experiences.
He spent his final months surrounded by love in Atlanta, Georgia, reminiscing about his ventures and cherishing time with loved ones.
Paul is survived by his wife, Victoria Judge. His children, Paul Qantas Judge, Shalanda Judge Williams, and D'Juannia Judge, fondly remember their times together, as does their mother and his first wife, Mary Givens Judge, and son-in-law Brandon Williams and granddaughter Carleigh Judge Williams. The bonds he nurtured with his sister, Ethel Judge, and brothers, Byron Judge and Marcleain "Smitty" Smith, are indicative of his deep familial ties. He is also survived by his stepsons Marcus Torry (Lakeisha) and Walter Banks III (Tyla), and their six grandkids including eldest of Victor Torry and Jordan Banks, sister-in-laws Rose Stirgus and Mary Williams, and brother-in-law, Johnnie Green. Countless friends and relatives continue to honor his legacy. He was preceded in death by his mother Cecilia Minnix Judge and father Ennis Judge and brothers Carlton Judge, John Dugas and Alvin Minnix.
Paul's achievements were vast and varied. His dedicated service as a US Army Staff Sergeant, member of the 82nd Airbourne Division, and decorated Vietnam Veteran saw him receive the Purple Heart and Silver Star. His expertise as an Electrician Technician further solidified his reputation as a skilled professional. Over the years, Paul built businesses in the auto industry as well as in real estate with his son. In his earlier years, he was an avid baseball player and enthusiastic fisherman, while golf became a favorite pastime in his later years.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Paul's illustrious life on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 10 am at Green Oaks Funeral Home at 9595 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A Military Honors Service will follow at 2 pm at the Louisiana National Cemetery at 303 W Mount Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, Louisiana.
