

Born on June 2, 1948, to J.P. and Gladys Louque, Ms. Peggy was like a mom to many. She filled her Buttercup home with love, generosity, and the kind of warmth that’s felt on Christmas morning. She was the cheer mom, the room mom, the helper of homework, the concession stand volunteer, the cleaner of the basketball uniforms, and the hostess of countless sleepovers and celebrations.
She is survived by her three loving children: a son, Drew Hart and daughter-in-law Kimi Melancon Hart; a daughter, Jennifer Hart and fiancé Staton DuBois; a daughter, Molly Hart Montag and son-in-law Jordan Montag; four grandchildren: Dylan Hart, Cameron Hart, Parker Montag and Ellie Montag; a sister, Carolyn Spayde and husband Lee; a niece, Angele Cangelosi and husband Frank, Sr. and great-nephew Frankie; a sister-in-law, Jeanie Louque; a niece Leslie Louque Falcone, husband Jamie, great-niece Navarre, great-nephew Jay; and a niece Nicole Louque Smith, husband Thad, and great-niece Caroline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Paul “J.P.” Louque and Gladys Decareaux Louque of St. Gabriel; a brother, Jay Louque; a nephew, Cleve Spayde; and a great-nephew Nicholas Cangelosi.
A visitation will occur on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815. A funeral service and burial will occur the following day on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815.
