A native of Lake Charles, Jay Orsot died Thursday, April 21, 2011, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was retired from BellSouth with 29 years service. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie Broussard Orsot; two sons, Chad and Clint Orsot; three sisters, Lois Neveu, Mary Wiltz and Gail Hardy; and a brother, Darrell Orsot. Preceded in death by his parents, Pearly Sonnier Orsot and Peter Spalding Orsot. Visitation at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday April 25, from 8 a.m. until a memorial Mass at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Alec Sheldon. "Jay" led a simple life and was a good man. He loved to laugh, fish and hunt, loved his family, his dogs and to BBQ. "Jay" also loved to take vacation cruises with his family.
