""Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28. Born in Baton Rouge on Dec. 7, 1934 and peacefully called to eternal rest in the Butterfly Wing on Oct. 30, 2017 at the age of 82. Phyllis was a graduate of Istrouma High School and Baton Rouge Business School. She spent her early years bookkeeping for Crifasi Brothers Wholesale and One Stop Market. Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, Godmother, aunt, friend, and Tiger fan. Her smile was infectious , her heart genuine and she enjoyed life to the fullest. She saw only the good in everyone and the love that filled her heart was felt by all. She understood the importance of saying "yes" rather than "no," and how much an unexpected call could brighten one's day. Gathering family and friends together to create those sweet lasting memories was one of the most important parts of her life. Her passion for LSU football was another. It spanned her lifetime and her knowledge surpassed most, beginning every day with the sports page of The Advocate. Later in life, she dedicated her time by volunteering at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, especially dedicated to the grief support group. Through overcoming her own experiences of grief, she was able to help and encourage others find support and enjoy life again. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kristi Moore of Baton Rouge; sisters, Jackie Sabella of Baton Rouge, Rosemary Sabella Graham and brother-in-law, Nolan Graham of Greensburg; nieces and nephews, Keith Graham (Mary Jo Tessitore), Kevin Graham (Yvonne Gautreaux), Donna Graham Campo (Matt Campo), Dana Graham Redmond (Joe Redmond); great-nieces and nephews, Jeffery Guzzardo, Angela Guzzardo Noble, Bryan Guzzardo, Anthony Guzzardo, Sarah Graham Maloney, Rachel Graham Lanius, Adam Graham, Emily Graham; many great-great nieces and nephews; numerous Godchildren and cousins; and very special friends, Wanda and Wayne Vick, Esther, Victor, Erich, and Laura Sachse, Amber Thibodaux, Karla Blake, Cory Blake, Wayne and Monica Meche, Randy and Cathy Meche and the many friends at Cancer Services.
