Randall “Randy” Joseph Cashio, age 79, of Baton Rouge passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. Randy was dearly loved by his wife of 54 years, Belle Guidry Cashio, his five children, Claesi McCrary (Marty), Amy Cashio, Jason Cashio (Claire), Julie Modica (Walter), and Drew Cashio, and his 10 grandchildren, each of whom was his favorite. He spent his professional career practicing law for over 50 years, taking great pride in the services provided to his clients, his family, and the State of Louisiana. He also publicly served as Past President of the Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission in 1983 and former member of the Republican State Central Committee in 1988-92. He was a graduate of Catholic High, ’62, LSU, ‘66, and LSU Law, ‘69. Randy was never short of personality, always good for a joke, and was a master salad mixer. He never took life too seriously and did his best to share a laugh, a meal, or a friendly wager. His entertaining and good-natured spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sara Cashio, his sister Jaqueline Safer Roshto, and his brother Bruce Cashio. He is survived by his brother Samuel “Sammy” Cashio (Lynn), and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., Baton Rouge, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Mass to immediately follow.
