Randall "Sparky" Anthony James Sr.

Loving husband, father of two and grandfather of one, passed away quietly in his home in Walker, LA on Monday, May 13, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was 55 years old and a native of Addis. He was a dedicated employee of Performance Contractors for 17 years. He was also the owner of Walker Tire for 14 years. In his free time, Sparky loved fishing with his devoted and loving wife. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Katie LaGrone James, a native of Morganza; daughter, Priscilla James Short & son-in-law to be, Ansel “Trey” Zeigler III of Walker; son, Randall Anthony James Jr. & daughter-in-law, Whitney White James of Walker; grandson, Braydon Alexander Short; his only sibling, a brother, Rodney Matthew James; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Macy Anthony and Gennie Lazzaro Comeaux; paternal grandparents, Marshall Edward and Leila Broussard James; parents, Leo E. and Lorraine Comeaux James; and sister-in-law, Bobbye Davis James. Pallbearers are Anthony James, Trey Zeigler, Rodney James, Wade Rhodus, Todd Bateman, Wade Bateman, Johnny Sylvest and Warren Ballard. Honorary Pallbearers are Quinnon Davis, Earl Lott and Mason Myers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 5pm-8pm and Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 1pm until the Funeral Service at 2pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baton Rouge Cancer Society.
