

Loved by many for his kind and sweet spirit, Randy Rea was a talented singer, songwriter and musician. He was a native of Baton Rouge and 63 years old. Randy is survived by two sons and their spouses, Josh and Tracy Rea, and Gram and Jamie Rea, one daughter, Brittany Rea, and four grandsons, Donovan, Dylan, Nicholas and Lennon. He is also survived by sister, Sandi Smith and husband, Joel, and brother, Mark, and many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and other family. He also leaves behind many dear musician friends and music lovers. Randy is survived by Nancy Baker, mother of Gram and Brittany and will be dearly missed by Pam Fry, sweetheart and caregiver. Randy was preceded in death by his loving mother, Helen Mitchell Rea, father, Howard "Bud" Rea, adored godfather and guitar teacher, Arthur "Uncle Pete" Mitchell, special nephew, Robby Gill, and dear Mommee and Poppee from Simmesport, LA. Randy is now playing and singing his song "Atchafalaya" in heaven with all the family he so loved. Visitation is at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 9 am until religious services at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Justin Rea, Christian Rea, Donovan Guercio, Dickie Hughes, Tommy Guillot and Pat Decuir.
