When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. When you passed, you rejoiced and the world cried. Rebecca’s family and friends rejoiced on March 20, 1983, when she and her twin brother Jody came into the world. On August 26, 2016 they mourned when Rebecca crossed over. Becca was light, more brilliant and beautiful than the sun. She radiated happiness and personified joy and made everyone whose life she touched feel special. She lived her life in a state of perpetual hope, was diligent and determined, and worked tirelessly to achieve her goals. She lived life to the fullest. Rebecca was awarded an Associate’s Degree, with Honors, in Liberal Arts from the Houston Community College. She was recently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Urban Education at the University of Houston-Downtown, with the goal of teaching.
