

Ricardo Guerrero, native of Los Angeles, CA, and resident of Maurepas, LA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 24, at 74. Ricardo was a decorated marine that served bravely and honorably in the Vietnam War and returned home with 3 bronze stars, 2 silver stars, and 3 purple hearts. He spent years in traveling bands, singing and playing guitar, and was a passionate salesman who enjoyed fishing and cooking authentic Mexican food for all to enjoy. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and was loved and admired by all who knew him. He lived out his final years enjoying retirement at his favorite place on the river. Ricardo is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Carol LeBlanc Roberts; children, Wade Evans (Tonya), Bo Roberts (Miranda), and Amy Roberts (Randall Kirk); grandchildren, Darren, Catie Rose, and Anna Marie Evans, Mirabella Roberts, and Layla Kirk; sisters, Vivian Cruz and Helen Guerrero; niece Christi Adams (Boyd), along with many other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Lopez and Erlinda Calderon Guerrero; mother in law, Carlis Glascock LeBlanc; brothers, Johnny and Michael Guerrero; and his sister, Sally Guerrero. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Rachael Dupepe for her care and support. Friends and family are invited to attend and be a part of a celebration of his life. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, October 28th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and will resume on Friday from 9:00am until the funeral service at 11:00am, officiated by Deacon Robert Kusch.
