Mr. Richard “Early Dog” Erwin a resident of Denham Springs, passed away January 4, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Erwin worked for Ethel Corporation, later known as Albermale for 36 years. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. His enjoyments in life were playing the guitar, the love of country music and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 30yrs, Sunny Erwin; children, two sons, Richard Timothy Erwin and Jason Gabriel Erwin one daughter Tammy Erwin and Jeri Lin Puckett and William Ned Pitt; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Britt and brother, Jessie Erwin. He is preceded in death by his parents Boliver and Willie Eugene Erwin, brothers Bill and Robert Erwin. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm. Visitation will resume Friday, January 9, 2015 from 1:00 until service at 2:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
