A native of Harrisonburg, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died on Thursday evening, September 4, 2014. He was a mechanical engineer and an avid gardener. Survivors include his sons, Richard M. Korn, and Michael F. Korn; and his daughter, Karen K. Pesson. He is also survived by grandchildren: Christopher J. Mestayer, Kara M. Pesson, Kelly N. Pesson, Anna C. Endres, and Savannah H. Korn; and by his close friend Virginia Ferryman. He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Mestayer-Endres; and by his wife of 53 years, Madeleine S. Korn. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 4pm until memorial service at 5pm.
