It is with great sorrow that we note the passing of Robert L. Graham, Jr. ("Bob"), on Thursday, October 01, 2015. Bob was born in Indiana on Dec. 23, 1955. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend of many. Bob enjoyed life and was an avid cyclist, riding in the Hotter'N Hell Hundred in Fredericksburg, TX each year with his many biking friends. He built and flew his own ultralight which he sacrificed in deference to his wife, Anne, whom he met in 1989. He loved making and flying model rockets and shared that passion with his sons. He adored his two boys and was leader of their various Indian guides and scouting troops, accompanying them on camping trips and Jamborees. He was always available for homework help, but most enjoyed math and science. After graduating from Georgia Tech in chemical engineering, he joined Dow Chemical where his many talents eventually led him into Information Technology. He was a valued employee, his name on a small list of employees deemed irreplaceable. He was officially designated as the company's "Best IT Guy" and named "IT Fellow." He worked on and solved many difficult and valuable projects for the company. Bob was a man of great integrity, compassion and humility. He was an introvert who became a fast friend over time. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife Anne Roach Graham and his two sons, Paul Graham and Mark Graham, his father Robert L. Graham, Sr., and wife Kathy, his mother Martie L. Graham, his sister Candia G. Tucker and her sons Wayne and Myles, his sister Lynn Godfrey, husband Mark and daughter Kara, and all of Anne's siblings, Louise Billingsley (Mel), John Roach, III (Nancy), Ruth Morgan (Robert), Marie Yeates (Lanier), James Roach (Sylvia), Carol Talton (James), and Claire Hackney (Jim), and his constant canine companion Dolce. He fought a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer never complaining. His memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church, 930 North Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana at 2pm Saturday October 10, 2015, with visitation at 1pm and after the service. If you choose, and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. We appreciate the compassionate care of Dr. Bryan Bienvenu and the Hospice of Baton Rouge.
