

Robert (Bob) A. Zillen, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice surrounded by all of his children. He was born on April 4, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He will be remembered for his joke telling, tailgating at LSU games and his fun and loving spirit. He loved all LSU sports and attended as many games as possible until recently when his health made it difficult. He loved to attend his grandchildren's sporting events, recitals, concerts or whatever activity they were involved in. Bob is survived by his son, Mike Zillen (Kathy), daughters, Angela Levert (Corey) and Tammy Baker (Trey), step-daughters Shara Frazier, Lauren Gambino (Glenn) and Trudi Daigle (Jeremy) and 12 grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Andy Zillen, Brendan Copeland, Brandt Levert, Hunter Galtier, Wesley and Ashton Baker, Kelsey, Tanner and Layne Frazier, Addison Wainwright, Justin and Callie Daigle. A private graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 and conducted by Rev. Paul Anderson. A memorial celebration service will be held at a later date for all of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia S. Zillen, and his parents, Rev. Joseph and Marcella Zillen. At his request, his grandsons will be his pallbearers.
