

Roberta “Bobbie” S. Whiteside, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was born on May 16, 1938, in Plaquemine, LA. After 15+ years of service, Bobbie retired from LSU Ag Center. She enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are the light of her life. She is survived by her children, Griff Whiteside and wife, Maggie, Mark Whiteside and Penny Caracciola, Rhodes Whiteside and wife, Tara, and Jacqueline “Jackie” Patin and husband, Marcus; Maw-Maw Bobbie’s precious grandchildren, Jack Whiteside and wife, Kathryn, Erin Carter and husband, Aidan, Carli Cormier and husband, Kenrick, Christina Weimer and husband, Ross, Rance Schexnaydre, Rhace Whiteside, Nikki Millet and husband, Michael, and Neil Patin and wife, Amanda; her precious great-grandchildren, Hadley Lefeaux, Emery Whiteside, Colt and Kenli Cormier, Hayden, Ryn and Laynie Weimer, Mattie and Mason Millet, Brayden Brown, Brayson Taylor, and Gavin LeBlanc; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Holton Whiteside; parents, Rueben and Louise Swain; brothers, Rueben “R.O.” Swain, James “Jimmy” Swain; and sister, Marilyn Callegan.
