Rosemarie Lewis Hall

"Rosemarie Lewis Hall died Friday, November 9, 2018, at Landmark of Baton Rouge. She was 88. She was born in Bogalusa on September 23, 1930, to her parents Charles and Grace Lewis. After graduation from LSU in 1951, she went to work at Ethyl Corporation, met and married her husband, W. Quentin Hall. She "retired" in order to raise their four children. She was an active member of Kappa Delta sorority and The Junior League of Baton Rouge. She also enjoyed membership in the Passe Bon Temps social group, the Harlequin Dance Club, and her bible study group. She was especially fond of her Bogalusa Girls whose bonds were forged in their childhood. She also treasured her time at her and Quentin's camp at Lake Rosemound, especially fishing and "porching." She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 48 years. She is survived by her four children: Darrylin and husband Steve, Bill and wife Cynthia, Susan and husband Jeb, and Chuck and wife Vicky. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Katie Macaluso (Chris), Ginna Aker (Allen), and Meredith Melton; Lucas Biggers (Amy), Lydia Taylor (Jason), and Stephanie Geddings (Chris); Lauren Hays (Nick), Jared Bell, and Rebecca Magee (Hunt). She had twelve great grandchildren: Hank and Maggie Macaluso, Austin, Grace, and Elise Aker, Lance and Preston Jumonville, Shayla, Hudson, and Sadie Taylor, Joanna Geddings and Jack Hays. Visitation will be held at University United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, with the service following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please donate to University United Methodist Church in honor of our Rosie. Her family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Landmark, including Doris and Detrinette, who cared for her the last six years, and Life Source Hospice and especially Lorraine and Ernie who made our mom's life so much more comfortable these last few months.
