"Ruby Singleton Roberts, a native of Amite and resident of Baton Rouge passed away at 9 pm on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Landmark. She was 97 and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and was a basketball player and fan. Religious service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 10 am. Interment will be at Greenoaks. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Mabry; sons, Alvis D. and Mark Roberts; sister, Lois Chapman; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Patsy Nell and Henrietta. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East is in charge of the arrangements, (225) 242-9950.
