
A retired budget manager with the Louisiana State Department of Education with 33 years of service and a resident of Prairieville, she died at 7:40 p.m.on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Entombment in St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum. She is survived by her husband, William J. Day; a son, Matthew D. Day; daughter, Allison R. Day of Prairieville; brother and sister-in-law, David J. and Elizabeth W. Terrio of Baton Rouge; nieces, Carrie Esposito and husband Mike of Denham Springs and Ashley Terrio of Baton Rouge; great-niece, Sophia Esposito; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Wilma Day of Baton Rouge; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Julien and Rita Day of Gonzales, George and Deb Day and Mike and Madelyn King, all of Baton Rouge; sister-in-law, Leslie Day of Baton Rouge; special friends, Terry Goodsen and Christie Ball of Baton Rouge, and Jackie Hodges of Lake Jackson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norley D. Terrio and Joyce Hamilton Terrio. The family wishes to express its thanks to Dr. Jay Brooks and the chemo-staff at Ochsner Clinic and St. Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion during her illness.
