Sandra Lou Santo, born April 11, 1949, died in Baton Rouge Sept. 19, 2013 at age 64. Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Irene Santo and loving caretaker, Ella Ford. Survived by brothers, Joe, Jr. of Bryan, Arkansas, and Bill, of Pensacola, Florida. Sandra lived with some disabilities, yet she was a faithful worker for over 30 years at the Sheltered Workshop (later became Metro Enterprises) and the workshop of Volunteers of America. She loved the church activities and over the years was active at North Highlands, Istrouma, and Grace Baptist churches. The family is grateful for Volunteers of America workers for their supervision of Sandra during her time in a Group Home and Independent Living apartment.
