Ann was deeply involved in the Baton Rouge Camellia Society alongside her husband, Michael Ruth, MD. She was also an active member of the LA Porcelain Art Teachers and Artists. Her passions included painting, camellias, porcelain art, and animals. An avid LSU sports fan, she also loved hosting, cooking and sharing meals with others. Ann was a registered nurse who met Mike in 1976 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, where she was working as an R.N. and he was completing his internship/residency. From the moment they met, they were inseparable. They married in 1980 and shared 45 years of marriage, nearly 50 years together.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Ruth, MD; her son, John Gordon Ruth (Victoria Elaine Anderson Ruth) of Baton Rouge; and her son, Ben Michael Ruth of Portland, Oregon.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Shem and Lee Gordon.
