Stephen Paul Richard

Stephen Paul Richard, age 63, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his residence in Baton Rouge, LA. Born in New Orleans, LA, on July 21, 1961, and raised in Slidell, LA, and later Baton Rouge, LA, Stephen spent many a day swimming, playing tennis, watching sports with his father, and playing music on his keyboard and trumpet. After graduating from Catholic High School, he attended and graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge. It was in Baton Rouge that he met his beloved Noel. They married in 1999 and started a life and family together. His family will most remember Stephen for his special gift to write and play music on his keyboard and his ability to recall football statistics about his favorite teams, LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 25 years, Noel Badon Richard; one daughter, Ashley Rose Richard; his mother, Roselyn Martin Richard; his sister, Dr. Pamela Richard and her husband, Dr. Mark Batzer; two brothers, Darryl Richard and his wife, Natalya, and Charles Richard and his wife, Laurie; and numerous nieces and a nephew. Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Frank Richard; and his mother-in-law, Martha “Donnie” Badon. A Christian Memorial Service will be at First New Testament Church, 3235 Aubin Ln., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM, celebrated by Pastor Evan Pyle.
