Syble Abney Clark

Syble Abney Clark passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born and raised in MS, and a resident of Glynn, LA. She retired from her business, SOS Beauty and Nail Center, in Central, LA.

Syble was the devoted wife of Darryl Clark, Sr., for 50 years until his passing in 2019. She was the devoted mother of Darryl Clark, Jr. (Ashley) and Stacey Clark. She was the proud grandmother “Me Maw” of Taylor (Izzy), Billy, Hayden (Londyn), Raegan, and Josh, and great-grandmother of Colt, Sadie, Rylie, Bella, Luke, and Tate. She is also survived by her siblings, Curtis Hatcher (Cathy), Johnny Hatcher (Susan), and Hope Vincent. Syble is preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Clark, Sr.; parents, Ella Mae and Albert H. Romantino, and Tanner Lee Abney; siblings, Jerel Hatcher, Mitchell Abney, Bobby Hatcher, Diane Welch, and Gale Brooks. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 12pm until the time of the memorial service at 2pm.
