A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she entered into the arms of Christ surrounded by family on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007. Born Feb. 5, 1940, in Baton Rouge, she was a retired school bus driver with the East Baton Rouge Parish school system and was a volunteer and instructor with the American Red Cross and Pats Coats for Kids. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Kurt Browning, Baton Rouge, and Lillian and Troy Gaskins, Dry Creek; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Sue and Sean McGowan, Denham Springs; and a beloved brother and sister-in-law, James and JoAnna Sheffield. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Kurt Rae, Tessa, Brandy, Casey, Mark, Jason and Frankie; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Frank DiPuma and Hiram McLin. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesdayfrom 10 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
