
Born Gaetana Migliore in Natalbany on Nov. 19, 1926, and a resident of Baton Rouge, Tanina Migliore Giambrone died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at age 84. She was a devoted daughter and sister, a loving wife and mother, and a proud and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the secretary at St. Thomas More Catholic School for many years and retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Francis of Assisi 1915 and was a member of the auxiliary of the Grandsons of Italy. Visiting will be at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Michael Schatzle. Entombment will follow in St. George Mausoleum. She is survived by four children, Guice A. and Steve Giambrone, Carleen Goodson and Alice Madere; 11 grandchildren, Guice, Michael, Steven and Christopher Giambrone, Steven Andre and Arianna Giambrone, Jason, Jacob and Josh Goodson, and Max and Wes Madere; eight great-grand children, Joseph Giambrone, Mia, Matthew, Michael and Nicholas Goodson, Watts and Abigail Goodson, and Hunter Goodson; and a brother, John Migliore. Preceded in death by her husband, Guice A. Giambrone Sr.; granddaughters, Angela Foy and Louise Madere; and her parents, Franceso Migliore, who was of Monreale; and Luigia DiPaolo, who was of Castelvetrano.
