Tasha Monique Farrar passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at 27 years of age. She had been in a terrible car accident on Feb. 23, suffering devastating injuries from which she was unable to recover. Tasha was well known for her feisty personality. Always one to have a lot going on, she was not satisfied to be just a single mom working two jobs and had recently decided to further her education and juggled work, parenting, and classes to become a certified medical assistant. She seemed to have her life on track as she was planning to get married later this year. There is no doubt this young woman was one of a kind and she will be greatly missed by so many who loved her so much. Her parents were so proud. Tasha is survived by her 8 year old daughter, Tianna Dawn Oglethorpe; her fiance, Jeff Nowell; her parents, Hijinio and Belinda Molina; her sister, Tiffany Farrar and fiance Michael Poche; her nephew, Ryan Dupuis; her stepsisters, Melissa Silvas, Elizabeth Ferguson and Felicia Molina; her half-siblings, Mallory McClure Cartagna and David McClure; her aunts and uncles, Janie Guerrera, Sandy Johnson, Michael and Sonja Farrar, Buck McClard and Steven and Michelle Aucoin; her cousins, Shane Bocksnick, Tylana Bocksnick, Neil Johnson, Kelli Farrar Kohan, Traci Farrar Graham, Nikki Farrar, Kandice Wilkinson, Tyler Aucoin and Tanner Aucoin; her grandparents, Patsy King, Sue Farrar, and Margarita P. Molina; and many additional extended family members as well. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Johnnie Lavon Farrar, Ranulfo P. Molina and Phillip McClard; as well as her uncle, Dennis Fuller. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, on Sunday, March 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes Monday, March 5, at noon until funeral services at 2 p.m., followed by burial at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
