

"A resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Lane Memorial Hospital. He was 80 and had battled dementia. He was an avid golfer on the BREC courses, playing as many as 54 holes while walking. His other great loves were Cajun dance and food. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail Russell Wagner; parents, Theodore and Lillian Wagner; and brother, Robert Wagner. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Dollenmayer and husband Robert of Baton Rouge; sons: Kyle Wagner and wife Karen of Madison, MS, and Kurt Wagner and wife Lynette of Port Allen; and by his brother, Mark Wagner of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Paul Lambert and wife Jennifer, Carter Lambert and wife Angelle, Grady Felder, Frances Felder, Matthew Wagner and wife Lauren, Nathan Wagner and wife Tatum, Patrick Wagner, Luke Wagner, and Jacob Wagner; as well as 3 great-grandsons. Ted was a veteran of the United States Military, serving both the Air Force and the Navy. He also taught for many years, and served as Principal at Baton Rouge Prep. Visitation will be at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Molly Lea Drive, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, from 4pm until memorial service at 6pm, conducted by Rev. Ken Carroll.
