
Thomas Dale Chauvin, a resident of Baton Rouge passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the age of 79. Mr. Chauvin was a magnificent artist, with many paintings left behind for family and friends to cherish. He also was the owner his own sign business Chauvin's Sign Company for many years. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with catholic service following. Burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA. Mr. Chauvin is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Hall Chauvin; four sons, Thomas Chauvin Jr., William Chauvin Sr., Michael and Jen Chauvin, Adam and Jennifer Chauvin; one daughter, Lori Croswell; three sisters, Margaret Falcon, Joy King, Juanita Dibendetto; and also thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brooks and Inez Chauvin; one brother, Brooks Chauvin Jr.; and two daughters, Cherie Chauvin and Katherine Chauvin. Tommy and Joy were married forty-four years and he was the greatest love of her life. Mr. Chauvin touched more hearts than can be imagined and will be missed by so many. The family would also like to say how very thankful they are for Our Lady of the Lake nursing staff during his stay before his passing.
