

Thomas “Tommy” Deen, native and resident of Baton Rouge, La, passed away on January 2, 2024 at the age of 74. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Dianne Jenkins Deen; two daughters, Christie Deen and Tracy Deen Myers (Jay); two granddaughters, Lyndsey Myers (Devan Lowder) and Lauryn Myers; sister, Kitty Gschwender; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Eloise Dreher Deen; and his sister, Sue Carswell.
Tommy enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He worked for Bolton Company for 20 years where he worked on projects such as The PMAC, multiple buildings on LSU campus, the State Capital Building, the LNB Bank Towers, and the Centroplex/River Center. In 1992, he started his own business, Thomas Deen Plastering, where he worked for the last 30 years, specializing in custom homes and stucco columns throughout several parishes. Tommy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no formal service.
