Timothy Allen HoodTimothy Allen Hood, age 60, of Baton Rouge, passed away Monday, February 9. Tim was a loving husband, father, brother, and son. He was a treasured friend and mentor to all as well as an inspirational employer to everyone in the Chimes, Varsity and Parrain's families. Tim set the bar incredibly high as he dealt with cancer and resulting treatments that finally took him from us. His refusal to be overwhelmed by adversity, his unparalleled grace, courage and good humor were examples to us all. We will miss him terribly. He is survived by his wife Marianne Bruder Hood, daughter Kristin Hood Provencher and husband Matt, two sons, Tyler Wilson Hood and Timothy Matson Hood, parents, Wilson and Lynne Hood, four sisters, Rebecca Freedman and husband Allen, Melissa Ryan, Cynthia Reseigh and husband, J.R., Carrie Hood and husband Kerry Grombacher and numerous nieces and nephews. The Varsity will be open Thursday, February 12 from 3pm-7pm for visitation with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leukemia&Lymphoma Society.
