A retired bookkeeper and a native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. He was 91 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Miles Walsh at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Theresa Michelli Cangelosi; sisters, Rosa Theresa Cangelosi and Seritta Mary Cangelosi; and a brother, Rowe Cangelosi. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
