A retired clerk with West Brothers of Sulphur, Viola died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. She was 93 and a native of Shongaloo. Viola was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Visitation at Harmony Methodist Church, Harmony, Ark., on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Dr. Raymond Cammack. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Bigelow, Jennifer Penrod, and Michael Gaudet and wife Jenny; great-grandchildren, Sydney Bigelow, Connor Gaudet, McKenna Gaudet and Annika Gaudet; son-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Goodwin and wife Lynn. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Jordan Bigelow; parents, James Walter Lindsey and Tula Vick Lindsey; daughter, Shirley Bigelow Goodwin; son, James Bigelow; and nine brothers and sisters.
