Virginia "Ginny" Connelly

19 octubre, 1922 – 5 septiembre, 2023
Obituario de Virginia "Ginny" Connelly
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Rabenhorst Funeral Home & Crematory

Ginny passed away peacefully in her home at 100 Years Young with her daughter, Lisa at her side. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald G Funsten and her second husband, William “Bill” Connelly and Mother, Vida “Dutch” Larson and grandson, Gabriel Russell. She had four sons; Stephen, Mitchell, Michael and Ricky. One daughter, Lisa. 6 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.

Ginny was born in Fowler, Indiana and then moved to the Chicago area and later moving to Eureka Springs, AR, Hot Springs, AR, Parker, CO and finally Baton Rouge, LA. She had a great love of people, business, politics, music, dance and water. She was also a wonderful cook and everyone enjoyed an invite to Ginny’s dinner parties!

She owned two restaurants, “Funsten’s Folly” in Joliet, Illinois and “The Orange Door” in Eureka Springs, AR. Her customers loved her dearly. She was a member along with her husband, Bill Connelly of the “Elk’s Lodge 1042” in Eureka Springs, AR. She served on several of the committees including managing/operating the Food and Beverage portion of the Lodge. She also served on the Arkansas Republican Party following her love of politics and the Arkansas Jazz and Heritage Association with her love of music.

Her relaxation was on the water, Kankakee River in Illinois, Beaver Lake and Lake Catherine in Arkansas. She was renown in her circle of family and friends for her great ability to float in the water!

She was grateful everyday for a wonderful life. And for those that knew her…she skid in sideways shouting Holy Cow, what a ride! To be remembered always…
