

A native of Mansura and a resident of Baton Rouge, Vivian B. Zimmer passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at her daughter's home. She was 86. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Nov. 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Chris Decker, celebrant. Internment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mrs. Zimmer is survived by a son and his wife, Dale and Ginger Zimmer; and a daughter, Susan Z. Weber. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rusty Zimmer, Dee Dee Heltz and husband Andy, Chantelle Deleon and husband Frank, Amy Addington, and Nicky Weber and wife Tiffany; and great-grandchildren, Haley, Jordan, Steven and Michael Heltz, Madeline, Katie and Derek Deleon, Mallory and Landon Addington, and Blake Weber. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Neck J. Zimmer; parents, Antoine and Elma Bordelon; sisters, Anna Helminger and Charmaine Gauthier; and a beloved son-in-law, Mike Weber. Special thanks to Leslie Kinney and Margaret Johnson with Amedisys Hospice and her caregivers, Chantelle Deleon, Beverly Egerton, Lisa Talbot and Bobbie Patty. Family was so important to her. She never missed a birth, baptism, birthday, ballgame or any special function in her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren's lives. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
