A retired operator with Borden Chemical Co. and a native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at his home. He was 75. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Nov. 20, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Neames Fowler; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Rod Quibodeaux; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter S. "Sandy" and Delphia Fowler; three grandchildren, Ashley Quibodeaux Thurston, of Birmingham, Ala., Eric Quibodeaux, of Hampton, Va., and Ryann Curtis, of Beaufort, S.C.; and a great-grandchild, Samantha Thurston, of Birmingham. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Maebelle Fowler. Honorary pallbearers are Clifford A. Neames, Jules D. Falcon, H. Dean Pilcher, Todd Thurston and Eric Quibodeaux.
