A retired employee of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and a resident of Prairieville, he died Friday, April 18, 2008, at age 63. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a native of Tullos. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, April 21, from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bill Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Donna Butler Girod; a daughter, Kelley Girod; and a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Frances Girod and sister-in-law, Dorothy Girod. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Irene Girod; and a brother, Jimmy Girod. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
