
A retired truck driver and a boiler maker, he passed away at his home in Baton Rouge on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at age 82. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Foster Road Baptist Church, Central Lodge 442, F&AM, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Baton Rouge Shrine Temple. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Visiting continues at Foster Road Baptist Church, 11333 Foster Road, on Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Huey Moak. Graveside service with military honors at 1:30 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 72397 La. 1061, Kentwood. Mr. Hudson is survived by his children, Debra Andrew and husband John, Pride, and Walter J. Hudson, Baton Rouge; sister, Virgie Humphreys, Georgia; three brothers, Wilbur Hudson, Baker, Winston Hudson, Greenwell Springs, and Waymond Hudson, Georgia; grandchildren, Wyndi Calloway, Erica and Travis Hudson, Zachary and Jacob Andrew and Nekki Boudreaux; and great-grandchildren, Abby and Dakota Hudson. Preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Hudson; parents, Walter and Laura Cowart Hudson; brother, Warren Hudson; and sister, Vernie Townley.
