

Warren James Plauche, Sr., passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 12:15pm at the age of 83 in his home surrounded by his children. He was a native of Plaucheville, La and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his children, Glenda Plauche Crummett, husband Bill, Pamela Plauche Nichols, husband Don, Warren James Plauche, Jr., wife Mary; grandchildren Scott Patrick Plauche, Casey Sellers Nickens, husband Michael, Haley Lynn Plauche, Curt Nichols, wife Debbie, and Jess and Tracy Camp, great grandchildren Camden and Saydee Heil, Natalie and Anderson Nickens, and Christopher Nichols. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Sadie Kimball Plauche, son, Patrick Plauche, daughter-in-law Terry MacDonald Plauche. He retired from Louisiana Concrete Products in 1992. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, an active member of St. Alphonsus Ushers Society, VFW Post 3785, Addis, La., American Legion Post 1160 Port Allen, La., and a friend of Bill W. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. Visitation continues at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Wednesday July 16, 2014 from 1:30 pm till Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend its warmest gratitude to the staff of New Century Hospice, Home Instead and special caregivers, Winnie Rollins, Shawntrell Leonard, and Nurse Ronnie Corona.
