Wava Budden, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on July 4. To her husband, eight children and family, she was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born May 14, 1922 in Mouton Cove, near Abbeville. She lived in Broadmoor Subdivision for 59 years and her annual display of tulips on Cora Drive brought her and her neighbors much enjoyment. Wava is survived by her seven children and their spouses: Karen Guiteau, Susan and David Williams, John and Joelle Budden, Mike and Connie Budden, Jeff and Jonelle Budden, Jill Blackledge and Eric Budden, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Ora Werner of Rochester, NY, Mrs. Amy Breaud and her husband, Dr. P. M. Breaud of Baton Rouge, and her two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Dixie McDonald of Indio, CA and Mrs. Alma Clark of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Rowland Budden and her daughter, Cheri Olson Dunlap. Pallbearers will be her 10 grandsons. Visitation will be Friday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church followed by a Mass at 12 noon. Internment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
