Frank was a native of Covent and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He passed away at 2:20 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at age 91. He was a U.S. Navy aviator who held the rank of lieutenant commander and a veteran of World War II. Frank was a graduate of LSU and a retired chemical engineer with US Steel. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Case Calloway; son and spouse, Dr. and Mrs. William L. Calloway, of Purvis, Miss.; two granddaughters, Christa Calloway Bird, of Huntsville, Ala., and Lara Calloway Crafton, of Denham Springs; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nora Inez Calloway. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Annie Calloway; and sister, Ruby Calloway Mire. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Monday, April 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at Blackwater United Methodist Church, 10000 Blackwater Road, Baker, on Tuesday, April 13, from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Linda Hagen. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Frank was a devoted, loving husband, a proud American, and a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed.
