
"Dr. William Hart passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at age 57. He was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Upper Marlboro, MD attending Queen Anne High School then graduating from Bishop McNamara High in 1977. After majoring in physiological psychology at LSU in Baton Rouge graduating with Dean's List honors, he went on to become an EMT paramedic and study trauma/critical care at LSU Medical School in New Orleans, where he became Chief ER Resident and later Associate Professor and recipient of the William Bradley award from Charity Hospital. Will loved to read, collect music, play golf, and most of all spend time with his children. He is survived by his wife Michele Dufrene Hart; their children, Brittany, Jordan, William Taylor, Marianna, and Emma Hart; a granddaughter, Evelyn Hart Lambert; his mother, Joan Potete Hart; his sister, Elizabeth Hart Ishee; father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Shirley Dufrene; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and countless friends and recipients of his outstanding care. He is preceded in death by his father, William Eugene Hart, PhD; paternal grandparents, William F. and Frieda Hart; maternal grandparents, Ben and Jean Potete. There will be a visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, LA on Saturday, January 7th beginning at 8:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am with Father John Perino.
