Charles was born on December 13, 1939, the only son of his parents, Willie Ernest and Ruby Williams in Amite, MS. He had two older sisters, Dorris Katherine and Edith Inez (Kinabrew). He graduated from Gloster High School on May 23, 1957 in Gloster, MS. He joined the Army of the United States and was Honorably Discharged on January 31, 1967.
He married Carol Anne Adkins on June 26, 1971 in Baton Rouge, LA. They had two sons, Gregory Keith and Jeffrey Scott. Charles was a constant supporter of his children, making sure never to miss one of their practices or games.
He worked for, and ultimately retired from, Dow Chemical in Plaquemine. He was a devout member of Istrouma Baptist Church of Baton Rouge and was part of several groups.
Mr. Williams is survived by his sons Scott and Greg (Jennifer) and grandsons Trevor and Jayce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ruby, his wife, Carol, and both sisters, Doris and Inez.
Services will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 20th with visitation starting at 830am.
