A native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away at Saint Clare Manor on Saturday, August 18. She was 94 years of age. Win graduated from University High School and Louisiana State University. She went on to work for Ethyl Corporation until she joined the Women's Army Corps before moving on to the U.S. Department of Agriculture where she retired. Win was also a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance studio in Baton Rouge and participated in many dance competitions. Although Alzheimer's disease deprived her of her memory, she never forgot how to clap her hands and tap her feet to the sound of the dance music she loved. She was also an avid LSU Tiger and New Orleans Saints fan. She is preceded in death by her parents Wilfred James Dugas, Sr. and Isabelle Dugas; brother, Wilfred James Dugas, Jr.; sisters, Thelma Dugas Nelson and Mildred Dugas Hickman. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 21, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
