
She was a resident of St. Francisville and a longtime resident of Baton Rougeand Central. She passed away peacefully in her sleep early Saturday morning, April 14, 2007. She was 82. She was born Wylma Evelyn Adamson on Nov. 9, 1924, in Watertown, Minn. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, April 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services at the funeral home on Thursday, April 19, at 10 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park following the service at Rabenhorst. She is survived by her son and his wife, Les and Irina Friedman; grandsons, Evan Friedman and Daniel Farrell; three loving sisters, "Patsy" Jo Ann Stewart and Carol Lee Wilburn, both of Denham Springs, and "Babes" Leona Halsey of Hamilton, Ala.; a loving brother, Elmer Adamson of Baton Rouge; and many loved nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. Preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Amanda Adamson, who were of Baton Rouge; dearly loved husbands, "Donald" Emile A. Friedman, who was of Central/Baton Rouge, and "Jeff" J.W. Roberts Sr., who was of Sicily Island; dearly loved and treasured son, "Pete" Larry J. Friedman; and brothers, Glen Emery Adamson, who was of McComb, Miss., and "Boy" Samuel Earl Adamson, who was of Hamilton. To know her was to love her; she was an inspiration to all and she will be sorely missed.
