Abelardo Ibarra

Abelardo Ibarra, 69, of Baytown, TX, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014. He was born on June 1, 1944 to Patricio and Maria Ibarra in Matamoros, Mexico. He loved spending time with his grandkids, playing cards, and going back to Mexico to tend to his ranch.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Ibarra; grandson, Hector Perez; and granddaughter, April Ibarra.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel and Leticia Ibarra and family, Abel and Dolores Ibarra and family, Albert Ibarra and family, Patrick and Alicia Ibarra and family, Israel and Veronica Ibarra and family; daughters, Norma and Joe Castro and family, Irma and Jaime Gonzalez and family, and Sally and Jessie Molina and family; 37 grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Joel Perez, Daniel Ibarra Jr., Albert Ibarra Jr., Andrew Ibarra, Patrick Ibarra Jr., Abel Ibarra Jr., Gabriel Castro, and Israel Ibarra Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be, Daniel Ibarra, Abel Ibarra, Albert Ibarra, Patrick Ibarra, and Israel Ibarra.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521, (281)422-8181.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St., Baytown, TX 77520.

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX, 77521.
