

Alan (Pop) Craft, Jr., a beloved, hard-working, creative, and resourceful man, passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born on September 3, 1940. Alan, lovingly known to his family and friends, leaves behind a lasting legacy of devotion and love for those closest to him.
Alan enjoyed a rich early life, sharing memorable moments of fishing and hunting with his brother and mother. His career spanned 40 years in the construction industry, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator, foreman, and supervisor. His commitment and skill in his profession were admired by all who had the pleasure of working with him. Alan had a spirited sense of humor and a love for life’s little adventures. Whether behind the wheel of his ’57 Chevy, out in the swamp, or sharing a laugh over one of his “secret recipes,” he lived each day with joy and a twinkle in his eye.
Preceded in death by father Alan Craft Sr., mother Rosa Lee (John) Rousseaux, brother SJ Craft, aunt Eugene Craft, and daughter-in-law Dolly Craft.
For 64 years, Alan was married to his loving wife, Jackie. Together, they raised three children: Natalie Renea (Winfred) Whittredge, Alan Craft Ill, and Nicolla Shawn Craft (Greg) Werley. Alan's family was the center of his world, and he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren, Stacy (David) Tucker, Matthew (Stephanie) Whittredge, Justin (Megan) Whittredge, Jonathan (Blaire) Whittredge, Anissa (Kirk) Sanders, Jackson (Kaitlyn) Craft, Kaitlyn Whittredge, Gabbie Craft, and Gregory Werley, along with his great-grandchildren, Alesia (Gabe) Tucker, Austin Whittredge, Jason Whittredge, Caleb Wooley, Luke Whittredge, Lily Whittredge, Callie Whittredge, Hayes Craft, and Bodhi Craft, were all blessed by his presence in their lives.
Alan had a passion for hunting, fishing, building things, cooking, and baking. He loved exploring new restaurants and sharing these experiences with his loved ones. His personal qualities and dedication to his family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on November 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 pm at the same location. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 pm at Palms Memorial Park, 2421 TX-146, Dayton, Texas. Following Graveside Services, lunch will be provided at Dayton Fire House at 2004 North Cleveland Street, Dayton, Texas 77535.
Other special people who were part of his life include Billy (Nettie) Brunson, Tonya (Shane) Stockstill and family, BillyRay (Stacy) Brunson and family, Clay (Laci) Brunson and family.
The family extends their gratitude to SEV Home Health Care and Anchor Hospice for their support and care, with special thanks to Jackie, Edward, Kimberly, Irene, and Gena.
Alan Craft, Jr., will be dearly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
