

Alton Macon, 79, of Baytown was born December 7, 1925 in Hightower, TX and passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a U. S. Army WWII veteran and a member of 1st Baptist Church. He retired from Exxon Research and Engineering and was a member of the Exxon Annuitants.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Macon, Greg Macon, Mitchell Macon, Glen Porter, Randy Perry, and Tim Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Macon and brother, Willie Glen Macon and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Keitha Macon of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Llana and Jim Dobbie of Houston; brothers, Wesley Macon of Baytown and Floyd Macon of Nederland; grandchildren, Stefani Macon, George Macon, Lauren Dobbie, and Kimberly Dobbie; and great grandson, Hunter Johnson.
