

Anita Julia Arnett, 88, of Baytown went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 17, 2008 in Baytown. Julia was born September 8, 1919 in Leggett, Texas to Allen Prentice and Daisy May Williamson Gieger. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Aldon Albert Arnett; brothers, Wilburn “Son” Gieger, and Harold Gieger; and a sister, Murdy Barnett.
Julia lived most of her life in Baytown and raised three loving children with the help of her beloved husband Aldon “Mutt” Arnett. Julia was a member of the First Christian Church and was an avid member in her attendance. She was also active in the Christian Women’s United. She worked in the P.T.A and served as past President, and was den mother for the Cub Scouts of America. Julia will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.
She is survived by to sons, Robert Arnett and wife Glenda of Friendswood, Texas and Wayne Arnett and wife Sandy of Baytown, and a daughter Joyce Roberts and husband Jim of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Alton Arnett, Tiffany Arnett Regan, Wesley West, Geoffrey West, Julie Arnett Pearson, and Katie Arnett Larson; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 A.M., January 19, 2008 in the Navarre Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bob Dees officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
